The holiday season is one of our favorite times of year. Not because of the gifts, but because of the meaning. It's a time to remember the ultimate sacrifice that Christ gave for us, to spend time with family, reflect, unwind and create memories to last a lifetime. It's so easy to get caught up in receiving, buying gifts and the glitz and glamour of the holiday season. But if you took all the material things away, what you still have the holiday spirit? Would you still celebrate Christmas?
We're both at a point in our lives where material things don't really matter much to us. This time of year is a reminder of how blessed we are and to reflect on the love Christ showed for us. It's a time to cherish the ones you love most. We know for some, this a joyous occasion and for others, it's the hardest time of the year. Regardless, we challenge you this holiday season to be a light, to give, and to do something for someone else and expect nothing in return, no matter how large or small. It's not about the size of the gift or gesture but about the genuiness of it.
From us to you, wishing you a happy holiday season.
