If you know either of us well, you know that we're both momma's girl through and through. It's something about having a built in best friend for life that is soothing and gives us peace. Growing up, we both didn't always understand why our moms did what they did or said what they said,. But by and by, as the old people say, we would understand eventually. There has not been one time in either of our lives that our moms haven't been there. We've cried together, but we've also laughed, celebrated and seen great times. We'll never say our moms are perfect, but they are perfect for us. We're so thankful to have moms that support us , love us, encourage us and just rock with us through any and everything.
Momma - Happy Mother's Day!! I LOVE YOU with all of my heart and soul, and would literally do anything for you. You're the reason I am who I am today. Growing up, my mom built me up to believe that I can do anything that I set my mind to. My mom is the most kind, intelligent, hard working, beautiful, sincere, take no mess woman I know. Each time I've needed her, she's shown up. Each time, I thought I couldn't do it, she pushed me to greatness. Each time I doubted myself, she reminded me of who I was. My mom is my best friend and I'm forever grateful for everything she's done and continues to do for me. I'll never be able to repay her but I'll spend the rest of my life showing you and celebrating the amazing woman you are. If I can even be half the mother you are when I have kids, then, I'll be great. I love you.
Mom, I just want to thank you. Thank you for taking care of me through life's ups and downs. Thank you for always supporting me and instilling in me the values that I will pass down to my future children. I am so blessed to have a friend in you. I thank God for blessing me with a strong, intelligent, beautiful, resilient, compassionate and loving mother. I continue to pray that God blesses you in abundance and give you back ten fold what you have given and sacrificed for me. It's funny how you call me your mini-me, ha! As I've grown into adulthood I have definitely caught myself doing things or saying things "just like my mama" lol. I am literally another version of you, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Thank you for always having my back, correcting me when I am wrong, holding me accountable, teaching me lessons on integrity, thank you for being YOU. I will never forget when you told me you were proud of me and I immediately started crying, you asked “why are you crying?” I said “I dont know! ” ..But it was what I needed to hear at that exact time. It's like you always know exactly what to say. I believe you are my angel on earth, I admire your strength and ability to keep it all together. Mom, thank you for always having my back, I will always be thankful for those days you would drop everything to be there for me. Thank you for helping me get my life together. I still look up to you and rely on your guidance, and for that I am forever grateful. Happy Mother's Day, I love you so much!
Everything we needed to know, we learned it from our moms. Life didn't come with a manual, but it came with an amazing mother for each of us. A lot of our drive and inspiration comes from the strength of the two women that we cherish the most in our lives. Thank you to our amazing moms!
