The "Perfect" Balance


As working women, balance is something we all strive to achieve. In theory, it would be amazing to have a perfect balance and have the ability to juggle everything so easily, but the fact of the matter is - that's not reality. Life is hard and there are so many things that weigh on us every day. From your career, relationships, family, side hustles, me time, and many other things, it's a lot. Let's just be honest. There will be days when you kill it effortlessly and other days where you're lucky if you get half of the things done that you need to. It's life.


Having a balance comes down to you. Understand and know that everyday may not be perfect, and you may not get everything done that you need to, and that's ok. Make sure you have balance within yourself and everything else will come. Whether you're working full time or part time, have a side hustle, multiple things to get taken care of, you can quickly become overwhelmed easily. Here are tips to find balance within yourself.


1. Make a list of the top 3 things you need to accomplish daily

There are probably a million and one things to accompish on your to do list, we get it. Write down the top three things you need to get done that day and make a plan to do it. Focus on the 3 things that absolutely have to get done, and if you have time, tackle other things. By focusing your energy on what you can do, it allows you to be productive and knock important task off your to do list.


2. Stop worrying about external factors

This is easier said than done, we get it. But don't worry about what you can't fix or do anything about. Let anything that is negative, and pessimistic go. You can only do what you can do. Focus on the good, focus on what you can fix, and do that. Put your energy into good things and people. Don't allow negataivity to take over or enter your persona. A part of balance is how you feel and your mindset. Let worry, anxiety and fear go. If you can't do anything about it, chances are that it's not meant for you to do or take care of.


3. Take care of you

You can't be all that you can be if you're not 100% yourself. We know that you have millions of things to do, people to take care of and people that depend on you. We get it and understand. But you should be at the top of your priority list. You have to take time to take care of yourself. Set aside time every single day to do something for you. It could be as simple as meditating, watching your favorite tv show in peace, taking a bubble bath, or whatever the case may be. But do something that is for you and makes you happy and feel rejevnated.


When it comes to having a balance, it all comes down to you making a conscious decision to run your life in a way that's best for YOU. There's no such thing as a perfect balance, but there is a such thing as a perfect balance for you. Focus on what you can do and live in the moment. Pour into yourself and watch how your balance becomes more bearable and fulfilling.


You are the most important person in your life. Focus on you and you will begin to see a difference
