Happy Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine's Day Loves!
Whether you're single, in a relationship, or in between right now, it's always good to get your closest friends together and just have a good "Galentine's Day" you won't forget. What's "Galentines" you may ask? It's Valentine's Day with your friends! We're big on having good ole' girl time every once in while and treating yourself. You need to recharge, laugh and live it up with the ones who love you most and have your best interest at heart.
There's so much pressure to have someone one Valentine's Day. And if you don't, listen to me, it's ok. You'll meet your "Mr. Right" but until then, don't skimp out on Valentine's Day. Instead, go out, have a good time and live it up. Don't wallow around or be down. Instead, call up your friends and have a "Galentine's" you won't forget:)
Here are 5 Galentine's Day ideas that are sure to be fun and not break the bank.
1. Dinner & Cocktails.
You have to eat, right? Right! So dress up and go out to a nice dinner with friends. Treat yourself to a cute new outfit, get your hair and nails done and slay your make up for the Gawds just because. Maybe try a nice new restaurant that you've been wanting to try or just something different. It doesn't have to be anything fancy or extravagant. Just go somewhere the food is good and the drinks will get you right(drink responsibly)! Treat yourself to dinner and cocktails and just have a good time with your friends. You'll be surprised how long overdue a girls night was needed.
2. Comedy or Improv Show
I don't know about you but we love to laugh and have a good time. Our newest extra curricular addiction is going to comedy show's and improv shows. Most comedy shows aren't that expensive, especially if you get the tickets in advance. And many times, improv shows run specials and have great line ups. Everytime we go, it's a great time. So check your city's events or improv/comedy club website and see if there are any comedians you'd like to see. We guarantee it'll be a good night full of laughs.
3. Bar Hopping
We don't go out as much as we use to but when we do, we love to dance and have a good time. If you're feeling some type of way and you're always on the go and you rarely take time for yourself (we are both guilty of this) then get your friends together and go out instead of staying in. Most of the time, the entry to get in bars are free. So free entry, free music and dancing all night? Count us in. Grab your friends and go bar hopping. Bar hopping is always fun. People are usually really nice and friendly, the music is blasting and popping and a good time. It's good to just get out and let off some stress and dance the night away. You'll be relieved and less stressed by the end of the night. You never know, you may even meet someone while you're out having a good time :)
4. Game Night
If you really don't want to be on the scene or go out, try having a game night in. We've done this a few times with friends and they're always fun. Order or cook up some food, mix up some drinks and play away. Play games from your childhood or more adult games. Invite your friends over and play away. A tip is have everyone be in charge of something such as food, drinks, games, etc. Game nights always end up with the most interesting girl talk ever and although game night may seem a bit, childish, you'd be surprised just how much fun you'll have. So call up your friend and get your game on.
5. Weekend Getaway
So, if you're not wanting to be around people you know or the city you're in because you think it'll put you in your feelings, treat yourself and take a trip of some sort such as a road trip, a weekend getaway or spa weekend with the girls. Just get out and go somewhere new or different. Treat yourself! You don't have to go anywhere extravagant, you can go to a spa for the weekend or load up the car and take a girls trip a couple cities over. It'll be so much fun (we love road trips)! Pack up, load up and hit the road and just spend quality time with your friends. You'll feel refreshed, rejuvenated and happy after a good ole' fashioned girl's weekend getaway.
So this Valentine's Day, don't sulk around or get in your feelings. Grab your friends, some drinks and have a good time! Whether you're single, in a relationship, or in that awkward stage we find ourselves in sometimes, these are 5 ideas that are fun, affordable and sure to be a good time!
