Are you still dedicated?

It's so easy to be dedicated to following your dreams and pursuing your passions when it's just an idea or the beginning stages. But let's be honest, when life happens, and it seems like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders, it's hard to stay dedicated.

Honesty moment - we've both been super busy and have a lot on our plate. From work, building our brand, life, and our own personal things - we're both overwhelmed, exhausted and it seems like there isn't enough time in a day. We both started questioning ourselves, "are we still dedicated?" "Are we doing what we need to do to make our dreams pop off?" And the answer was most of the time yes. But sometime, we were slackin', and it's just the truth.

The truth is, you're not always going to be dedicated, that's why you have to be disciplined. Discipline with ensure you stay on track, do what you say you're going to do, and follow your dreams wholeheartedly. Discipline will keep you on track when you feel like throwing in the towel, giving up, or begin thinking negative thoughts. Discipline will separate the ordinary from the extra ordinary.

Here are 5 tips to staying dedicated.

1. Prioritize

Prioritize what's the most important thing that needs to be done from the most important to the least important. Then start knocking out tasks in that order.

2. Create a Plan/Schedule

Whatever you need to get done, put those task on a schedule and give yourself a timeframe to get it done. Like us, you'll likely stay dedicated if you have a plan to follow.

3. Have an Accountability Partner

Even the most dedicated people fall off. Have an accountability partner that will hold you accountable to do what you said you were going to do and that will push you to be better. This person should not be a "yes" man but someone who is encouraging but will lovingly call you out on your ish when you don't follow through.

4. Pour into Yourself

Make sure you are taking care of yourself: resting, sleeping, and/or exercising. Make sure you're doing things that re-energize you, make you happy, and give you life. You can't pour into your dreams or passions if you don't have anything to pour from.

5. Remember the End Goal

Make a list in your notes on your phone of what you're aiming for and read it every morning and every night. When you don't want to be dedicated or disciplined, read that note and remember why you started. Never lose sight of the end goal.

Staying dedicated to your dreams can be hard. But living with regret from giving up is even harder. So what's it gonna be? You can either be GREAT or comfortable, but you can't be both!
