'Tis the Reason for the Season

Not to sound cheesy or anything, but Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. Not because of the lights, gifts or materialistic things. More so because of the reason for the season.  For us, we're at a point in our lives where we could care less about the materialistic things in life  and more about the things of substance. Like our family and friends for instance.

As this season kicks off, it's so easy to get caught up in buying gifts, the holiday rush to make it "perfect" for loved ones, and the money we put into Christmas. And that's ok. What's not ok is not celebrating the reason for the season, the reason why we even have Christmas.

To sum it all up, Christmas is a time to celebrate Christ and his arrival into this world. Through biblical stories, we have a good image of how he came into this world and the impact he had and would have on this world. And this Christmas, that's we all we really want to do, is to be a positive impact, no matter how large or small that may be to some.

If we've learned anything, it's that life is too short and that you only get one chance. So this holiday season, we challenge you to spread holiday cheer and be a positive impact to someone, even if it's just one person. It could be a smile, spending quality time with a loved one, or volunteering your time.

So often we caught up in the glitz and glam of Christmas that we forget who and what really matters. This holiday season, let's celebrate Christ and those we love most. As the holiday season comes and goes, we won't always remember the gifts we receive, but we will remember the time we spent with loved ones, the traditions we hold dear to our hearts, and the celebrations.

Happy Holidays from us to you.
